Characters and location from my comic naut-cotic; or to be more specific, Aji and Not against a bird's eye view of Northern Estuary University. Ajisai's the character on the left, and Forget Me Not's the one on the right. Together they form my thinly disguised narrative device! XD

*weep* I don't get the narrative device. I'm a bit slow though, so it should be fine.
Slight crit on the outfit designs, the shorts seem a little bit short for a guy with a goatee; it creates an odd schism between youthfully naive shorts and worldly goatee. Of course, he seems like the odd sort of character that kind of anachronism may be appropriate for.
Oh, I see what you mean! Thank you, I've magically lengthened them a little but I'll remember for next time! The weather here is always so horrible, it's very telling of how often we get to wear shorts!
Sorry, I should have mentioned before, but he has a nice sort of sporty/clean-cut look too. Now that I look at him again, the goatee seems like a thin hint of rebeliousness to an otherwise fairly structured sort of casual. *sway* I think I'm reading into his design way too much, don't mind me, heee.
Aji's outfit looks great. There's a hint of enough different styles in the right ways that it's really adaptable. She'd fit in at a dance club or an office or booting someone in the head equally I think.
Thanks for the comments, I've been drawing the same outfits for years so I don't really pay much attention to them any more. It's nice to hear about the characters from a new perspective!
Yeah, it's pretty much the same case for me, so don't be shy on pointing things out with mine either. If I disagree, I'll just be stubborn and not change it.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
